May, 2008 we celebrated 57 years as a parish school offering a quality Catholic education.
So many can rightfully rejoice in all that has been accomplished, past students and their parents, administrators and teachers and all who have contributed to and benefited from an excellent education. Over 1800 students have graduated from St. Martin of Tours Academy.
For 57 years our parishioners here in La Mesa have shown strong support and a genuine commitment to Catholic school education. We thank, especially, the pastors who have been leaders with this support: Fathers Dennis Barry, Donal Sheahan, John Sproul, and our present pastor Father James Poulsen. We also remember, with gratitude, the School Sisters of Notre Dame who were the founding staff of the school in 1951.
Those of us who graduated in "the early years" remember class sizes of 40, combined grades and a much smaller campus. So much has changed. We are proud of the school facilities, grounds, the use of technology for instruction and, most of all, the quality that comes through our Workshop Way® system of education. The school enjoys an excellent reputation in the community. As an alum, you can feel proud to say you graduated from St. Martin of Tours Academy.

Alum and Principal (1991-August 2007)
